Turning Lemons into Lemonade

Sometimes life sucks.

Like, really sucks.

And a lot of the time, life sucks in batches.

Do you ever find that to be true? Like if you are having a bad day, it seems that everything decides to be bad that day—your hair, your skin, your lunch, your commute, your outfit, the weather, your partner's attitude, your attitude, your dog's attitude...you get it.

I am human and just like other humans, when I am in a funk, I find it hard to climb out of it.

So, with that in mind, I decided to create this post. I am acknowledging my lemons and turning them into lemonade before they turn my whole heart sour.

🍋 Rozee is injured and on stall rest. I miss riding and it's stressful worrying about her all the time.

🍹 I'm getting to see her more often then I was when she was sound. Checking on her in the morning and getting in a little AM cuddle sesh is a lovely way to start my day, even if it means waking up earlier.
🍹 I spend more time checking her over for lumps and bumps, which is beneficial for her health either way.
🍹 It's an opportunity to ride different horses and work on my own skills.

🍋 Winter is around the corner and winter means S.A.D.

🍹 Christmas movies will be on Netflix and those always make me feel better
🍹 Comfy sweaters are acceptable attire for any event
🍹 Winter will be an opportunity to slow down and focus on self-care
🍹 Fuzzy horses are great for cuddling

🍋 Money is tight and Christmas is coming up.

🍹 A stark reminder that it's the thought that counts and that the holidays are about more than gifts
🍹 An opportunity to get creative and flex my DIY muscles

🍋 Every time I think I've diagnosed my health issues, the results disprove the theories.

🍹 It means I don't have hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's or PCOS. So that's good.
🍹 It's an opportunity to learn more about my body and how to help it function optimally

🍋  I miss my friends.

🍹 I have something worth missing

All in all, I guess I just need to remind myself that the more I practice looking on the bright side, the more I will see it.
